Temperature Control Shipping (15° - 25°C) means that the shipper uses a climate controlled truck to keep the temperature between 15° - 25°C during transit. This service is needed for bakery, chocolate or other perishable items during the summer weather. For the winter weather, any glass bottles and products containing liquid inside will require Temperature Control Shipping.
Items will not arrive frozen or cool. They will warm quickly when dropped at the customer's door, but they will not be damaged. Please remember to store all bakery products in the freezer until you are ready to use them.
Please read below for additional information on the Temperature Control shipping option when purchasing liquids and glass bottles during cold weather.
Advisory for perishable items (Spring/Summer):
Spoilage will not be eligible for a refunded unless the Temperature Control option is chosen.
We do not recommend customers from outside of Ontario ordering perishable products during the summer months. (This includes bakery items, breads, cheesecakes, etc)
All customers:
Please ensure that the delivery address is one where there is always someone available to receive the package, and store it in a freezer.
It is the responsibility of the customer to pickup the package in a timely manner, either left at the door, or left in the post office, and to evaluate the freshness of the product received.
Advisory for liquid items (Winter):
Damages due to broken bottles because of cold temperatures will not be eligible for a refunded unless the climate controlled option is chosen.
We recommend that all customers choose Temperature Control shipping during the colder months when ordering glass bottled items, (especially containing syrups), and items with a high water content that are susceptible to damage upon freezing (such as LIVIVA Shirataki Pasta).
All customers:
Please ensure that the delivery address is one where there is always someone available to receive the package.
Default option for Canada Post is Safe-Drop (same as leave-at-door and no-signature-required, this may puts your items at high risk for freezing, please ensure you will be at the shipping address to receive the package.
We are not liable for spoilage or breakage due to failure to pick up at door
If you request for “Do NOT Safe-Drop” and no one is available to receive the package at the time of delivery, the shipper will leave a delivery notice at the door/mailbox to notify which postal outlet the package can be retrieved from.
